OmeLucky Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Pairing strangers on camera, by voice or in text cannot work without handling some information about you. This policy lists it in ordinary language: what we hold, why, who helps us, how long it stays, and what you can ask us to do with it. Send any question to [email protected].

1. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to anyone using omelucky.com, from a first-time guest to a regular visitor, on any device and through any home-screen shortcut. It applies from the moment the site loads, because a guest session has to exist before you can be matched with anyone.

In this document “OmeLucky”, “we” and “us” refer to the team that operates omelucky.com. “You” means the person using it. OmeLucky is an independent site; it is not part of OmeTV, LuckyCrush or Omegle, and none of those services receive your information from us.

2. Information you give us

  • The guest identifier created for you on arrival, and any display name, language or setting you pick afterwards.
  • Whatever you add to your profile, such as a photo or a short description. Every profile field is optional.
  • The people you follow, the people you block, and the messages you send and receive.
  • Reports you submit about other users, and every email you send to support, including attachments.
  • Purchase records for coins and VIP: the item, the time, the amount and the reference returned by the payment provider. Card details are entered with the payment provider and never reach us in full.

3. Details gathered while the site is in use

  • Technical details about your device and browser, such as model, operating system, browser version, screen size and language, so pages display and calls connect correctly.
  • Your IP address and the approximate country it suggests, used to route connections, comply with local rules and spot abuse.
  • Usage events: when you start a match, which mode you chose, how long a session lasted, when you used the Reward Center and similar signals.
  • Small files in your browser (cookies and local storage) that keep your guest session, your settings and your sign-in alive between visits.
  • Analytics measurements about which pages are visited and how people move between them, used in aggregate to improve the site.

4. Camera, microphone and conversations

Your browser asks before the site can use your camera or microphone, and you can withdraw that permission in the browser’s settings at any time. In Video mode your picture and sound travel to the person you are matched with so the two of you can talk. Audio mode sends sound only, and Text mode uses neither.

Typed messages are stored so they can be delivered, shown in your conversation list and, when you ask for it, translated automatically into the reader’s language. Translation runs on the text of the message only.

If you report someone, the report and the conversation details needed to assess it are kept so the report can be handled and repeat problems spotted.

5. Why we use it

  • To run the core service: matching, calls, messages, follows, the Online list, short videos and the Live tab.
  • To keep accounts working, remember settings and restore a session when you come back.
  • To process coin and VIP purchases, keep track of free matches and Reward Center credits, and answer payment questions.
  • To protect people: investigating reports, limiting accounts that break the rules, and blocking spam or automated traffic.
  • To understand what works and fix what does not, using aggregated measurements rather than individual profiles wherever possible.
  • To meet legal obligations, such as tax records for purchases or responses to lawful requests from authorities.

6. Who helps us run OmeLucky

Nobody buys your personal information from us, because it is not for sale. A small number of service providers process parts of it on our behalf and only for the purposes above: hosting and content delivery, the media servers that carry calls, payment processing, email delivery for support, analytics, and the translation service used for messages.

Each provider is bound to use the information only to provide its service to us. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect someone’s safety, or as part of a merger or sale of the service, in which case this policy would continue to apply.

7. Retention periods

We keep information for as long as your account is in use and for a reasonable period afterwards, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Reports and enforcement records may be kept longer where that is needed to stop the same person causing harm again.

Information that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.

8. Your choices and rights

  • Edit or remove your display name, photo and profile text at any time.
  • Turn off camera and microphone access in your browser, or use Text mode only.
  • Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, or for corrections.
  • Ask us to delete your account and its data, subject to the records we must keep by law.
  • Clear cookies and local storage in your browser; you will then start again as a new guest.
  • Complain to the data protection authority where you live if you think we have handled your data wrongly.

9. Security

We use standard measures to protect information in transit and at rest, limit staff access to what each job requires, and review access when roles change. No online service can promise perfect security, so please keep personal details you would not want shared out of profiles and conversations.

10. Age and contact

OmeLucky is only for people who meet the age requirement in our Terms of Service. If we learn that someone below it has used the site, we close the account and delete the related information.

Requests and questions about privacy go to [email protected]. Write from the email address linked to your account if you have one, or include your user ID, so we can confirm the request is yours.
