OmeLucky Data at a Glance

Data at a glance

The privacy policy and terms are the full documents. This page is the quick version: what OmeLucky collects in each part of the site, what stays in your browser, and what you control. If this summary and the full documents ever disagree, the full documents win. Questions go to [email protected].

1. The short version

OmeLucky needs a little information to match you with people, deliver messages, process purchases and keep the place safe. It does not sell that information, and it asks your browser before using your camera or microphone. You can use the site without an email address, a phone number or a real name.

2. Why a guest session exists at all

Matching two people needs a way to tell them apart. Instead of asking for an email address or a phone number, OmeLucky creates a guest identifier the first time your browser opens the site. It lets the service remember your free matches, your settings, the people you follow and your conversations without knowing who you are in the outside world. You can add a name or photo later if you want to be recognisable, but nothing requires it.

3. When you first arrive

  • A guest identifier is created so the site can remember you between visits.
  • Basic device and browser details are read so pages and calls work on your screen.
  • Your IP address is used to connect you, estimate your country and block abuse.

4. When you press Start

  • Video: your camera picture and microphone sound go to the person you are matched with.
  • Audio: only your microphone sound goes to them.
  • Text: only the messages you type go to them, and they are stored so the chat can continue.
  • In every mode we log that a match happened, which mode it used and how long it lasted.

5. When you use your profile and messages

  • Your display name, photo and profile text are visible to other users. All are optional.
  • Follows, blocks and messages are stored so your lists and conversations stay in place.
  • Messages you choose to translate are sent through a translation service as text only.

6. When you buy coins or VIP

  • The payment provider handles your card details. We receive a confirmation, the amount and a reference.
  • Free matches, Reward Center credits, coins and VIP status are recorded on your account.
  • Tax and accounting law decides how long purchase records must stay on file.

7. What stays in your browser

Cookies and local storage keep your session, your settings and small preferences, such as whether you have seen a notice before. Clearing them signs you out of the guest session and you start fresh. Camera and microphone permissions also live in your browser, and you can switch them off there at any time.

8. Analytics, in plain words

We measure things like which pages people visit, how many matches start each hour and where people give up, so we can fix slow or confusing parts of the site. These measurements are looked at in aggregate. They answer questions such as “did the new match screen load faster?” rather than “what did this one person do?”

9. Translation and location

When a typed message is translated, its text is sent to a translation service and the translated text comes back. Voice and video are never sent for translation.

Your approximate country is estimated from your IP address. It helps route calls to nearby servers and apply local rules. We do not ask for or use your precise location.

10. Reports and safety

Reports you send, and the details needed to review them, are kept so problems can be handled and repeat offenders limited. The person you report is not told who reported them.

11. What you control

  • Which mode you use, and whether your camera is ever on.
  • What goes on your profile, and when it comes off again.
  • Whom you follow, block or message.
  • Whether your account exists at all: email [email protected] to ask for a copy or deletion of your data.

12. Questions people ask us

  • Do other users see my email address? No. Other people only see what is on your profile.
  • Does the site use my camera when I am not in a chat? It should not, and your browser shows an indicator whenever a site is using the camera, so you can check.
  • Can I use OmeLucky without ever turning the camera on? Yes. Text and Audio modes work without it.
  • Is my data sold to advertisers? No. Personal information is not for sale here.

13. Age requirement

OmeLucky is only for people who meet the age requirement in the Terms of Service. Accounts that do not are closed, and the related information is deleted.

14. Independence

OmeLucky is a separate service. It does not share your information with OmeTV, LuckyCrush, Omegle or any other site it writes about.

15. Keeping this page current

Every document shows its last update date. When the service changes, the full documents are updated first and this summary follows, so the two stay in step. Important changes are also announced on the site.
