One face. A whole
new possibility.
Your next distraction?Less scrolling. More butterflies.
No script. Just you two.01 / Follow your curiosity
These are a few of the people who use OmeLucky, in photos from their own profiles. Who is around changes by the minute, so open the Online list to see the faces available now, tap a profile you like and say hello first. Or skip the browsing and leave it to luck.

You don’t need the perfect opening line. A little curiosity is a very good start, and the worst thing that can happen is a polite goodbye.
Go on. Say hello.
Your browser asks once for the camera and microphone. Allow both and a stranger appears a moment later.
Ask about what you can see: the poster behind them, the rain on the window, the song in the background.
Good conversation? Follow them so you can write later. Flat one? Tap Next and meet a new face.
Video chat is a live conversation where you see and hear the other person through two cameras, right in the browser. Making it random means you don’t choose who appears. OmeLucky pairs you with one stranger at a time, so every next face is a small surprise.
A planned call with a friend has its uses, but it rarely catches you off guard. A random one might put you in front of a nurse finishing a night shift, a student avoiding an essay, or someone who wants to practice English on you. Most chats are short. A few run for an hour, and those are the ones people come back for.
If you have only used apps for video chat with people you already know, the rhythm takes a minute to learn. Nobody owes anybody a long conversation. Saying hi, getting a reaction and moving on is normal, and it is not rude.
The first few matches feel fast. Faces come and go, some people wave, some say nothing. By the fifth or sixth you will have found your own rhythm: a hello, a question, and a decision about whether to stay.
Video chatting apps usually want an install, an account and a phone number before the first hello. OmeLucky skips all three: a guest session opens when you arrive, and the match screen is right there.
It barely decides, and that is deliberate. When you press Start, the match screen pairs you with someone else who is searching at the same moment. You get one person, picked at random from whoever is around. Tap Next and the search simply starts over with somebody new.
There are no interest tags to fill in, no questionnaire and no gender filter on the match screen. If you would rather choose, open the Online list instead, scroll through who is around and tap a profile. From there you can write to her or start a call straight away.
People join from more than 50 countries, and roughly one in five is in the US. So a video chat from the United States at 2 a.m. can still land you with somebody across an ocean who is eating breakfast.
Random suits a restless mood, when you want to be surprised. The list suits a curious one, when you already know the kind of face and conversation you are after. Most evenings end up using both.
Following someone keeps them in your list after the chat ends. Their profile lets you message or call again another day, which is how a lucky match turns into a regular one. The one-on-one call guide covers that part in more detail.
Pick video when you want to read faces, voice when you can’t be on camera, and text when you would rather think before you answer. All three sit on the match screen. The switch at the bottom changes the mode between matches, and you can change your mind any time.
| Video | Audio | Text | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What they get | Your face, your voice, your room | Your voice and nothing else | Only the words you type |
| Best moments for it | Reading a laugh, a little flirting | Commutes, messy hair, dark rooms | Shy first minutes, loud places |
| Language help | None, so talk slowly | None, so slow down | Messages can translate automatically |
| Getting out | Tap Next | Tap Next | Close the chat and press Start for someone new |
Text is the gentlest way in. The random chat page explains how a typed conversation turns into a call, and the cam chat setup takes a minute to read before your first time on camera.
Switching takes a second, so try all three in one evening. Lots of people find they like the audio-only mode far more than they expected, especially after midnight.
A small habit worth stealing: pick your mode before you press Start, not after the match connects, so the first seconds go to the other person and not to buttons.
Voice suits the moments in between. Headphones in on a bus, a face mask on, a room you would rather keep private. You still hear a laugh, which is more than a typed one ever gives you.
It is free to start. New users get free matches the moment they arrive, and the Reward Center at the top of the match screen hands out more while you stay online, several times a day. When those are used up, further matches use coins, which you can buy whenever you like.
Some sites promise you will never pay and then hide the meter somewhere. Ours works like this. Free matches arrive when you are new, the Reward Center refills more than once a day if you keep coming back, and coins only matter when you want to keep going past that. VIP is an optional upgrade for people who spend a lot of evenings here.
A typical evening goes something like this: you arrive, spend your free matches on a few short hellos, settle into one longer conversation, and by the time you check the Reward Center again it may well have topped you up. Most people never think about coins until somebody’s sense of humor makes them want one more match.
No card is needed to begin, and there is nothing to download either. The site runs in any modern browser on a phone or a laptop, and you can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app.
Lots of people arrive after searching for something else: OmeTV, LuckyCrush, or the Omegle that closed in November 2023. OmeLucky is a new site of its own with no ties to any of them (who we are), but the questions people ask about those three are good ones, so we answered them properly.
The first five seconds decide most conversations, so it helps to have something better than “hey”. These openers work because they hand the other person something easy to answer:
If you are shy, use one of the lines above word for word; the other person will never know it was borrowed.
If none of those fit, ask about something you can actually see. A specific question gets a real answer. A flat “hi, how are you” tends to get a flat reply, and then somebody taps Next.
The fun mostly comes from the small stuff: a cat walking across a keyboard, an accent you can’t place, a guess about someone’s city that turns out completely wrong. Lean into those.
Flirting is welcome when it is friendly and both of you are into it. Flirting that turns pushy ends with a single tap, and you never owe an explanation.
03 / Before your first hello
A live conversation where both people see and hear each other through their cameras and microphones. On OmeLucky it happens in the browser, with one stranger at a time, picked at random unless you choose someone from the Online list.
No. It is a no-registration video chat: a guest session starts the moment you open the site, so you can press Start straight away. Adding a name or a profile photo is optional, and you can do it later or never.
It is free to start. Newcomers start with free matches, and staying online lets the Reward Center on the match screen add more, several times a day. Coins only come into it after those.
There is no random video chat app to install. OmeLucky runs in Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox on phones and computers. For a one-tap icon, add the site to your home screen and it opens full screen like any app.
Yes. Random matching is one door, the Online list is the other. Look through who is around, open a profile you like, and send a message or start a call from there.
Your current chat ends and the search starts again. The other person gets no reason, so a quick wave before you go is a nice habit to have.
Follow them while you are still chatting. They stay in your list afterwards, and their profile lets you message or call them on another day.
Text messages can be translated automatically, so each of you reads the other in your own language. Voice and video are not translated, so slow down and let your hands help.
Yes. Pick Audio on the match screen to talk by voice only, or Text to type. Nobody sees you in either mode unless you start a video chat yourself.
From more than 50 countries, and roughly one in five is in the US. Morning for you is often evening for the person you meet.
Yes. Scroll the short videos, or open the Live tab to watch someone stream. Going live is not something users can do, but every face that interests you has a profile you can open.
No. OmeLucky is an independent site. It is not run by OmeTV, LuckyCrush or the old Omegle, and it shares no accounts with any of them.
Your full name, address, school or workplace, and anything that ties your face to where you live. If someone pushes for personal details or makes you uneasy, tap Next and report them.
Yes, in the browser on both. Allow camera and microphone access when Safari or Chrome asks, and you are ready to go.
Both people decide fast whether to stay, and that is normal when every match is random. It is rarely personal. A specific first line, like a question about something in their room, keeps more chats going.
Fast typing does that to everyone. You still landed on the right page: tap Find my lucky match and see who turns up.
Your evening could use a plot twist
